THE IELTS GURU

Born precocious, Ervin Nil A. Temporal, a proud and regionalistic native of Davao City, started his kindergarten education at the age of 3 at the University of the Immaculate Conception. In the same institution, he spent 6 years of primary learning. After being denied of the most coveted and highest honor, Valedictorian despite topping the NEAT, he did not lose hope. Instead, this provocative experience made him aspire for what he truly deserved.

In high school, he stood out from the rest as he became the youngest radio anchor of DXRP Radyo ng Bayan Dabaw at age 13. Also, he became a frontliner of 19 civic organizations in Davao City. Holding the most crucial positions in all of these made him the Most Outstanding Youth of Davao City. True to the expectations of many, he graduated from the same university at the age of 15 and was recognized as the Class Valedictorian with 22 awards.

He initially studied in the University of the Philippines in Mindanao aspiring for a degree in Communication Arts. Two semesters transpired and he earned the highest general weighted average in the history of UP Mindanao. This elevated him as the top student of UP Mindanao for that semester. His record has been challenged by hopefuls but to no avail. To pursue a career in Mass Communication, he decided to transfer to the University of the Philippines in Diliman to take up Communication Research.

To augment the meager money, he ended up being a working student for the lack of a better option. That was when he first taught IELTS at an IELTS Review Center in the morning. While he would attend classes in the afternoon, he would spent the next four hours from 6:00pm to 10:00pm to educate Koreans in English. On weekends, he functioned primarily as a data gatherer and data encoder at Hieros Research Group.

In spite of working like a horse with four jobs while in school, he managed to get four flat

ones (1.0) in a semester that resulted in him being inducted to the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Highest International Honor Society when he was only in third year college. Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Kappa Phi are exclusive circles of intellectuals; members include majority of senators, congressmen and key officials in government. Ideally, only fourth year students are invited to the elite group but he was one out of the only three chosen ones. That time, he was one of the top third year college students in UP Diliman. Due to his exceptional scholastic achievement, he earned a Magna cum Laude standing in his course, BA Communication Research (a quota course offered in the University of the Philippines). He earned the highest GWA among the graduates of the College of Mass Communication.

As one of the pioneers in the IELTS Review in the country, he taught in IELTS Review Centers then responded to God’s call for him to put up his own IELTS Review Center, 9.0 NINER.

9.0 NINER HISTORY

The perfect score in the IELTS is 9.0. Concurrently, the term NINER refers to an IELTS examinee who has gotten a 9.0 in any one of the four subtests in the IELTS, hence the term, 9.0 NINER.

April 9, 2007. A superstar is born. 9.0 NINER IELTS Review and Tutorial Center inaugurated its first branch located at the 80 square meter basement of Victoria 1 building along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. This branch became popularly known such that after three months of operation (July 2007), 9.0NINER became the number 5 IELTS agent in the Philippines. More blessings came soon afterwards.

October 2007. 9.0 NINER was hailed as the top IELTS agent in the entire archipelago. As a result of this milestone accomplishment for a six-month old review center, two more branches opened. 9.0 NINER EDSA Taft Branch, located at the intersection of EDSA and Taft Avenue in Pasay, opened on October 1 to cater to the IELTS preparation needs of people from the south. this branch is occupying a three storey building near MRT and LRT.

People from Northern Luzon also sought the expertise of 9.0 NINER compelling the company to establish a branch in Dagupan to make IELTS review available in Pangasinan, La Union and Tarlac. 9.0 NINER Dagupan is located in the heart of the city and is situated in a 150 square meter unit.

March 1, 2008.Because of the overwhelming influx of reviewees, the first branch was relocated to an even bigger venue.

September 9, 2008 at 9:00am, the most awaited Manila branch of 9.0NINER has finally opened. The fourth 9.0NINER branch is strategically situated right in the bustling city of Manila.

2014 officially marked the undisputed dominance of 9.0 NINER as it was heralded once more as the number 1 IELTS agent in the Philippines and probably in the entire Southeast Asia for seven consecutive years. Needless to say, 9.0NINER is one of the biggest IELTS agents in Asia and in the world.

2015... After producing hundreds of NINERS and thousands of IELTS passers, there is no stopping 9.0 NINER from producing more perfect scorers in IELTS. 9.0 NINER aims not just to make examinees pass the exam.
